Meet Michael + Maggie, also known amongst family and friends as the McBears. They are a hilarious and self proclaimed nerdy pair that love puzzles, escape rooms and working out together. They even got engaged after a live game of Clue in downtown Louisville. Joel, Emma and baby Viv currently call Taiwan home but while visiting family in the U.S. they squeezed in some time for family photos with me at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky! Even at a few months old Viv is already full of personality and kept us all laughing with her giggles and scowls and looks of judgement. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites! <3

Gabrielle + Andrew met while she was finishing her masters at the University of Kentucky and within a few years they got engaged in London, England, bought a home together, are raising their spunky Scottish Terrier named Snow and are planning their wedding for next year! <3 Join us for their engagement session at Buffalo Trace Distillery and the University of Kentucky!

A couple of Scots living in London, England decided to cross Kentucky off their travel bucket list and elope while doing so! On one of the rainiest days I’ve ever seen these two grabbed umbrellas, joined hands and officially tied the knot in Frankfort, Kentucky. We roamed around downtown, dried off at Buffalo Trace Distillery where they had a perfect impromptu toast from another distillery guest and ended with some special portraits in the barrel house. Sitting beside Glenn's Creek in Frankfort, Ky the Old Taylor Distillery property is now a revitalized bourbon distillery named Castle and Key. The grounds offer an industrial haven of still abandoned warehouses, a gorgeous sunken garden, a spring house with Greek/Roman references and other buildings with surprises behind their doors. Ian is a new employee here, so it was a wonderful backdrop for him and Rayann to say, "I do!". See their romantic and colorful fall wedding day on the blog here!

Just because you've been married a few years but don't have kids doesn't mean you don't deserve some updated portraits together! Amiright? I spent an afternoon with Grant + Kara as they cracked each other up and loved on each other at Buffalo Trace Distillery. Just because everyone needs some pictures with the one they love. :)
