Meet Patrick + Kate
These two hail from Scotland but call London, England home! They met through Patrick’s sister (coincidentally also Kate’s best friend!) while studying in University and six years later decided it was time to make things official! After a dinner out at a Brazilian steak house they essentially decided to elope on their upcoming vacation to the US! Some research settled them on Kentucky’s capitol of Frankfort, Kentucky.
They got Frankfort engraved inside their wedding bands and set off to America holding the plans of their elopement a secret from their friends and family. On an incredibly rainy Monday we ventured from Lexington to the Franklin County Fiscal Court where a quick ceremony and some paperwork officially changed their titles to husband and wife! :)
We got soaked, ran through the rain and the made the best of one of the rainiest days I have ever seen. When we needed a break to dry off we ventured to Buffalo Trace Distillery. In the parking lot they called friends and family to share the news and it was cute to see their reactions to their loved one’s reactions. The bourbon tasting also gifted them an impromptu toast from another distillery guest, a golden Blanton’s bourbon top as a gift and we even got some special portrait time in the barrel house. It was such a special day and it was an absolute joy to get to spend it with Patrick + Kate! I hope you enjoy getting to join us too. <3
