Jessica was the type of girl who swore she’d never get married… until she met Mathew- obviously. :) As plans came together they decided on an intimate wedding on Earth Day, April 22nd, with sunrise ceremony plans in place… life dealt them a new card- a pandemic. They persevered with their original date and got married on the front lawn of Jessica’s mother’s house with an intimate affair but traded sunrise for sunset and spaced chairs for their family 6 feet apart. It was a day filled with joy that turned out absolutely perfect for them. I hope you enjoy seeing some favorites!

When Izabela studied abroad at the University of Kentucky many years ago she fell in love with Kentucky and decided to come back for Graduate School! Although she had to leave her beloved Belgian Malinois pup home in Brazil, her fiancé, Marcio, came to Kentucky with her. They decided to get married with an intimate courthouse ceremony and celebration in Lexington!

Trey + Julia married on a warm Saturday afternoon in September surrounded by their children, family and closest friends in Versailles, Kentucky at Wildside Winery, a place they love to visit together. Meet The Coach House at Zorro Event Center! Is it weird to meet a building? Not when it’s one of the most gorgeous new event spaces in Lexington, Ky! Located in an area popular for fox hunting the Spanish word for fox, Zorro, is a fitting name for this gorgeous newly built barn set in the bluegrass countryside. It’s seamless interior boasts stone floors, reclaimed wood walls, hidden entrances off the main space and multiple sets of double doors that open up to views of the surrounding fields and forest (and none of that includes the phenomenal upstairs spaces!). For a couple who spent most of their lives living within 15 minutes of each other they finally started hanging out due to geographical convenience when they both moved to Cincinnati in 2016. Since then they’ve built a life together in Over the Rhine with their cats Godric and Helga. They got engaged last summer in the industrial loft home they share, much like Monica and Chandler did on “Friends”. Decidedly non-traditional, they chose to celebrate their love with a Friday elopement in Alms Park, portraits in Over the Rhine, the neighborhood where they fell in love, drinking at their favorite dives and a next day dance party at the Oscar Event Center with their favorite loved ones. It was truly very them! Enjoy!

A couple of Scots living in London, England decided to cross Kentucky off their travel bucket list and elope while doing so! On one of the rainiest days I’ve ever seen these two grabbed umbrellas, joined hands and officially tied the knot in Frankfort, Kentucky. We roamed around downtown, dried off at Buffalo Trace Distillery where they had a perfect impromptu toast from another distillery guest and ended with some special portraits in the barrel house.
