When Izabela studied abroad at the University of Kentucky many years ago she fell in love with Kentucky and decided to come back for Graduate School! Although she had to leave her beloved Belgian Malinois pup home in Brazil, her fiancé, Marcio, came to Kentucky with her. They decided to get married with an intimate courthouse ceremony and celebration in Lexington!

Billy + Alex are cat loving, Netflix binging, pizza eating, UK Wildcat loving beer connoisseurs. They are effortlessly fun with each other and it was a blast to bounce around Lexington with them for an evening to document their love for each other at the University of Kentucky and their favorite watering hole, West Sixth Brewery. College sweethearts, Stephen and Molly, officially became the Gordinier’s at the Ashford Acres Inn in Cynthiana, Kentucky on a memorably stormy day in August. They shared a first look and vows on the front steps of the inn, danced beneath the giant trees and celebrated as only they could. I hope you enjoy some favorites from their wedding day!

For a couple who spent most of their lives living within 15 minutes of each other they finally started hanging out due to geographical convenience when they both moved to Cincinnati in 2016. Since then they’ve built a life together in Over the Rhine with their cats Godric and Helga. They got engaged last summer in the industrial loft home they share, much like Monica and Chandler did on “Friends”. Decidedly non-traditional, they chose to celebrate their love with a Friday elopement in Alms Park, portraits in Over the Rhine, the neighborhood where they fell in love, drinking at their favorite dives and a next day dance party at the Oscar Event Center with their favorite loved ones. It was truly very them! Enjoy!

Gabrielle + Andrew met while she was finishing her masters at the University of Kentucky and within a few years they got engaged in London, England, bought a home together, are raising their spunky Scottish Terrier named Snow and are planning their wedding for next year! <3 Join us for their engagement session at Buffalo Trace Distillery and the University of Kentucky!

I joined family at the University of Kentucky Arboretum for a mini session to document some portraits of them with baby Mia! We strolled through the gardens chatting about how they grew up two hours from each other in Mexico but met in the U.S. and tried our best to get three month old Mia to show us her beautiful smile. It was so wonderful to meet them and I hope everyone enjoys their sweet images! <3

Luke + Kendall invited me to their new home in the Chicagoland area to spend an evening with them, their fur babies and their newest addition, Silas! It was such a joy to see them in a new role as mom and dad, eat Italian take out and get to veg on the couch together the next day. Silas is one loved little guy that has playing baseball, cheering for the Cats and possibly attending UK in the class of 2041 in his future ;)

Anyone who’s ever met the McCollums’ will tell you that this crew is filled to the brim with personality. Cooper is always quoting movies and picked up learning the guitar, Colleen is daydreaming about her future college in the Northeast and dad is always ready for a good day at Keeneland.
