With the arrival of Hadley Grace, dad is officially outnumbered! The Petit family welcomed their second baby girl this summer and they invited me into their home to document them together.

The Reynolds Family recently moved in to a beautiful home in Ashland, Kentucky and their little ladies are turning 1 and 3 so there was a lot to celebrate during our recent photoshoot together. We enjoyed a warm evening in their backyard, had a tea party, painted with Dad and ended the evening with a flower milk bath to get some extra special portraits of the girls. Belle also bribed me into having chocolate ice cream with them before I headed home so I obviously had to make good on that deal :). Enjoy some of my favorites from their portrait session below! <3

This sweet family has invited me to document them many times and this time it was to celebrate little E turning 6 months old. Our session turned more into bribery with M&ms, shoulder rides, tickle fights and kisses and that’s exactly the way it should be :) I adore this family and hope you enjoy their session at the Studio Lex!

Karrie + Xavier shared their crew of kiddos with me for another year as their youngest, Kieran, just turned ONE! We threw tinsle like snow, taught Kieran how to drink Fanta and they let me spin them around like superheroes. It was so fun to spend a morning with them at the family business Blue Stallion Brewing Company. I hope you enjoy this goofy sibling photoshoot.

Louisa is the newest addition to the Boersma family and she’s already got mom, dad and fur-sister Marigold wrapped around her little fingers <3 I photographed Ron + Hannah Beth’s wedding last September and was delighted to be asked to document their growing family while I was in Michigan recently. They hosted me in their Grand Rapids home for an evening and we spent a snowy morning together documenting this chapter in their story. Enjoy a peek inside LouLou’s newborn session! Enjoy! <3

Miranda + Ryan welcomed Aubrey Rose to their wild crew in October! They invited me to spend a morning with them when Aubrey was just a few days old and I made a little photo magic out of the chaos. ;) I included a few outtakes that I hope get recreated as these kiddos grow up together. Enjoy! <3

Join us for an afternoon at the Eckert Boyd Orchard and making homemade lamb dumplings with the Ao family in Lexington, Kentucky. Not only is important to have beautiful images with your family but it’s also important to have documentation of family traditions- like making dumplings from scratch for dinner. The little things are big things and it’s certainly a day I felt so honored to be invited to. Enjoy!

Luke + Kendall invited me to their new home in the Chicagoland area to spend an evening with them, their fur babies and their newest addition, Silas! It was such a joy to see them in a new role as mom and dad, eat Italian take out and get to veg on the couch together the next day. Silas is one loved little guy that has playing baseball, cheering for the Cats and possibly attending UK in the class of 2041 in his future ;)
