This adorable pair met at church in their hometown of Madisonville, Kentucky- which was the setting for their engagement session! We strolled through downtown, stopped by their church (which included their senior scout projects built next to each other years before they ever met) and ended the evening at sunset on the land where they’ll build their home together.

Kate and Jonathan met at the Lexington farmers market, had their first of many dates at Cup of Commonwealth coffee shop and plan to be married at Limestone Hall. We visited the places that are part of the past, present and future in their love story for their engagement session and it was so much fun. They are effortlessly fun with each other and it was a blast to bounce around Lexington with them for an evening to document their love for each other at the University of Kentucky and their favorite watering hole, West Sixth Brewery. Brad and Bennett are high school best friends that realized they had a thing for each other in college. They have since made Lexington their home together with their three sweet pups! When they aren’t working they love to spend time outdoors on the weekends in Red River Gorge- which is where they recently got engaged! We spent a beautiful fall evening at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky for their engagement session to catch the fall color and capture their love for each other. Meet Michael + Maggie, also known amongst family and friends as the McBears. They are a hilarious and self proclaimed nerdy pair that love puzzles, escape rooms and working out together. They even got engaged after a live game of Clue in downtown Louisville. Steven and Monika are Kentucky natives and travel nurses. They currently live full-time in an RV in Reno, Nevada with their precious pups. On a recent trip back to Kentucky we visited Red River Gorge to document their love for each other and their sense of adventure at Grays Arch (where they shared one of their first dates) and Miguels Pizza! While on a quick wedding planning trip to Kentucky I met up with Drew + Naz at their wedding venue The Vintage Barn at Merefield in Midway, Kentucky for an engagement session in the sunflower fields. It was truly a dreamy evening and I absolutely loved getting to experience how much there two laugh and play together. Justin + Jessica met through mutual friends while attending Transylvania University. After Justin graduated they made things official and have been enjoying of concerts, drinking bourbon, stand up comedy shows and their dog, Kobe, since 2012. For their engagement session we visited many places in Lexington they love- including Transy where they met, The Burl where they love to see shows, The Lexington Distillery District and a favorite bar of theirs, The Village Idiot, and ended the evening with some after dark photos in downtown Lexington. Over five years ago Cody + Sara Sims had their first date at the farm that Cody grew up on. After years of dating, a lot of a anticipation, and a questionable story about a forgotten wallet- Cody got down on one knee on the porch of the same cabin and asked a very important question. Sara of course said, “yes!” so it was the perfect setting for their engagement session and where they'll tie the knot later on this year. I just loved spending an evening with them and can’t wait to document their celebration in October. Enjoy!
