The McBears Take Engagement Photos

A.K.A. Michael + Maggie

I’m no expert- but my guess is if a dog brings two people together there’s a 99% chance you may date that person and end with them forever. :P Maggie met Michael when he offered to rehome her pup, Dooney, and then shared photos and videos of him at “summer camp” with his dogs. A visit lead to a movie date and the rest is history. That was in 2009 and shortly after they became “Facebook Official” over a word scramble Michael sent Maggie via FAX. That’s how you know their a finely aged pair ;)

These self proclaimed nerds love to laugh (if you spend more than 5 minutes with them you’ll know this), solve puzzles, play escape games, work out together and raise a large family of dogs and cats. They also incorporate bears into most things they do, earning them the nickname amongst their friends and family as the “McBears”- to put a story behind the blog post title! :)

Their love of puzzles played a role in their engagement! After they interrogated witnesses in a live game of Clue around downtown Louisville, Maggie turned around to find Michael on one knee with a ring, “we solved one mystery, now let's solve another”. The answer of “YES DUH!” was followed with tacos, margaritas and DQ blizzards and now- wedding planning! :D

They currently live in southern Indiana just outside of Louisville and frequently visit Hubers Orchard and Winery annually, so incorporating that location and Louisville into their engagement session was a must! It was an absolute blast to spend an evening documenting this goofy pair and their love for each other. They are definitely #couplegoals.
