What better reason for portraits than to celebrate 16 years of marriage! I met Brandon + Tracie at St. James Court in Old Louisville to document their love for each other in a neighborhood that holds many early memories for them. Their energy was infectious, they laugh so easily (which you should be able to tell :)) and by the end I was absolutely feeling #relationshipgoals. Enjoy some of my favorites from our time together!

Meet Michael + Maggie, also known amongst family and friends as the McBears. They are a hilarious and self proclaimed nerdy pair that love puzzles, escape rooms and working out together. They even got engaged after a live game of Clue in downtown Louisville. Steven and Monika are Kentucky natives and travel nurses. They currently live full-time in an RV in Reno, Nevada with their precious pups. On a recent trip back to Kentucky we visited Red River Gorge to document their love for each other and their sense of adventure at Grays Arch (where they shared one of their first dates) and Miguels Pizza! While on a quick wedding planning trip to Kentucky I met up with Drew + Naz at their wedding venue The Vintage Barn at Merefield in Midway, Kentucky for an engagement session in the sunflower fields. It was truly a dreamy evening and I absolutely loved getting to experience how much there two laugh and play together. I hope that chemistry shines through in their photos and I can.not.wait to be part of their multi cultural celebrations this fall! Enjoy! <3

Justin + Jessica met through mutual friends while attending Transylvania University. After Justin graduated they made things official and have been enjoying of concerts, drinking bourbon, stand up comedy shows and their dog, Kobe, since 2012. For their engagement session we visited many places in Lexington they love- including Transy where they met, The Burl where they love to see shows, The Lexington Distillery District and a favorite bar of theirs, The Village Idiot, and ended the evening with some after dark photos in downtown Lexington. While on a family vacation to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky Addy, who’s 6, fell in love with the ornament display at the park and suggested that her Mom, Cathy, and her fiancé of 3 years, Nate, should getting married there. After years of procrastinating the planning of a big wedding they took Addy’s suggestion seriously and put a wedding together in just 6 DAYS! Cathy’s grandfather officiated the ceremony and their closest family members (and a collection of horse park visitors that evening) watched them step inside the ornament and have an impromptu ceremony inside the ornament! I met Michael + Chelsea at a wedding several years ago and was so excited to see they finally got engaged and even more excited when Chelsea contacted me about taking some portraits together! These two are getting married on the beach in the Dominican Republic next month but with a winter wedding they wanted some snuggly couple portraits in Louisville together too. With flurries falling this fun pair danced and laughed their way through the chilly December afternoon. I loved so many photos from their session it was hard to narrow down my favorites- so I hope you enjoy! <3

Chris and Sarah started out as long distance friends from an internet game they played together but as life brought them geographically closer together their friendship blossomed closer too. Their love story continued to span thousands of miles as jobs, school and visiting family called for lots of time on the road both together and apart. Their hearts remained close regardless of the distance and lead them here- to their wedding day! They wed under cool Saturday with overcast skies on October 13th.
