Zainab met her husband, Humza, while in college. The college sweethearts married in 2017 but had an unusually long gap between their next Muslim marriage celebrations planned to be held in 2020. With the world rocked by a pandemic they changed course and held their Rukhsati, a traditional send off by the elders of the family, at Zainab’s parent’s home in Lexington, KY.

While on a family vacation to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky Addy, who’s 6, fell in love with the ornament display at the park and suggested that her Mom, Cathy, and her fiancé of 3 years, Nate, should getting married there. After years of procrastinating the planning of a big wedding they took Addy’s suggestion seriously and put a wedding together in just 6 DAYS! Cathy’s grandfather officiated the ceremony and their closest family members (and a collection of horse park visitors that evening) watched them step inside the ornament and have an impromptu ceremony inside the ornament! Chris and Sarah started out as long distance friends from an internet game they played together but as life brought them geographically closer together their friendship blossomed closer too. Their love story continued to span thousands of miles as jobs, school and visiting family called for lots of time on the road both together and apart. Jared met Megan while studying at Eastern Kentucky University but it took years of their paths crossing for him to finally ask her on a date. A few years later at 11:11, a time that Megan always makes a wish, Jared told Megan his wish and they were officially engaged! Fast forward to October 6th, the day they said "I do!" under partly cloudy skies at the Cedar Springs Pavilion in Tipp City, Ohio. Their Great Gatsby inspired celebration was an unforgettable day. David and Chelsea met at work, fell in love during many dates at Keeneland and got engaged on the shores of South Carolina. These Lexington natives fiercely love their pets (their Corgi even made an appearance), laughing with their friends and celebrating like it’s going out of style. From their first meeting Leah knew that Ricky was the man she had been praying for but life took them different directions for a few years until they were set up on Halloween in 2015. Finally they were in the same place and could make things official. They’ve been building a home together ever since and married in Ashland, Kentucky at the historic Train Depot and enjoyed night time portrait around the historic Paramount Theater.
