A Downtown Date with Jonathan + Kate
Kate and Jonathan met at the Lexington farmers market, had their first of many dates at Cup of Commonwealth coffee shop and plan to be married at Limestone Hall. We visited the places that are part of the past, present and future in their love story for their engagement session and it was so much fun. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from our time together!
Dahlias, Rhodos and Doggos | In the Garden with Chelsea
There's a backyard on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada where you can find my dearest friend Chelsea tending to her dahlias, rhododendrons, and roses (among countless others) while taking breaks to snuggle on her big doggos. Join me for a little garden tour and peek into her world.
In the Garden with Wild Roots Farmer Florist
I was up before the sun on a very hot July morning to join Alexis Sheffield and her Corgi, Remy, out on the farm to pick flowers for her business Wild Roots Farmer Florist. We chatted as the sun rose and dew wet her jeans and feet about the schedule her life takes in the colorful months. All the hours outside of her 9-5 job are spent tending the garden, picking flowers, assembling beautiful arrangements for deliveries, bouquets, and weddings- and we laughed when I asked her literally sit and immerse herself in the marigolds <3 Join us out in the field and see how beautiful her hard work is.
You Are My Sunshine | Jaron + Anna
Jaron + Anna are expecting a baby girl in the next few weeks! Although they currently live in Alabania, it was on a summer visit back to Kentucky that they decided to celebrate the pregnancy of their child with a photoshoot. They met me at sunrise before the summer heat set in and we frolicked int the sunflowers. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from our time together! :)
Meet the McCartneys
Almost seven years ago I was standing in this exact spot photographing Brendan + Dominique on their wedding day. Things have changed quite a bit for them since then so with their anniversary coming up we planned a quick mini family session while they were in Louisville in the same spot they said, βI do!β. It was so special to see them again and attempt to recreate an image they love from their wedding day- but with four kiddos in the frame too. Enjoy! <3
The Hortons
The Hortonβs are a special family to me because they were one of my very first weddings I ever photographed. Now every few years they invite me back to take pictures of their family and it is an absolute treat to see them as parents. They met me close to sunrise at Alms Park in Cincinnati with bagels and coffee and we bribed some authentic smiles out of their spunky kiddos. Enjoy!
Sunrise in Bernheim | Stephen + Molly
Molly + Stephen met in college over 7 years ago. Over that time they've traveled, adopted a dog and had many long chats about the future. Luckily that future includes each other because Stephen asked a question and Molly answered "yes"! :) They met me at sunrise in Bernheim Forest near Molly's hometown of Bardstown to document their love for each other and we had a truly beautiful morning romping through the scenery together. Join us for their laughter and exceptional way they love each other.
Ready for Dietz
You may remember their engagement photos from around this time last year :) They officially became Mr. ad Mrs. Dietz on the shores of Cancun, Mexico but decided for some portraits together in Kentucky too! We spent a beautiful morning at the Kentucky Horse Park to create these truly stunning portraits. I hope you and enjoy and congratulations to the newlyweds!
Duckworthy Goods Commercial Shoot
Duckworthy Goods is a business founded by one of my long time clients and friends, Cody Lokits, and his brother Brandon Lokits. They created this line of luxury duck canvas and leather travel bags to meet a need in the market they felt was missing. A functional and fashionable bag for those who want to adventure well. Here are some of my favorite images for the commercial branding and promo shoot for Duckworthy Goods.
