An Earth Day Wedding Story | Mathew + Jessica
Jessica was the type of girl who swore she’d never get married… until she met Mathew- obviously. :) As plans came together they decided on an intimate wedding on Earth Day, April 22nd, with sunrise ceremony plans in place… life dealt them a new card- a pandemic. They persevered with their original date and got married on the front lawn of Jessica’s mother’s house with an intimate affair but traded sunrise for sunset and spaced chairs for their family 6 feet apart. It was a day filled with joy that turned out absolutely perfect for them. I hope you enjoy seeing some favorites!
Wildside Winery Wedding | Trey + Julia
Trey + Julia married on a warm Saturday afternoon in September surrounded by their children, family and closest friends in Versailles, Kentucky at Wildside Winery, a place they love to visit together. It was a beautiful day focused on what meant most to them and I loved getting to document it for them. I hope you enjoy a some of my favorites! <3
Addy Knows Best | Nate + Cathy
While on a family vacation to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky Addy, who’s 6, fell in love with the ornament display at the park and suggested that her Mom, Cathy, and her fiancé of 3 years, Nate, should getting married there. After years of procrastinating the planning of a big wedding they took Addy’s suggestion seriously and put a wedding together in just 6 DAYS! Cathy’s grandfather officiated the ceremony and their closest family members (and a collection of horse park visitors that evening) watched them step inside the ornament and have an impromptu ceremony inside the ornament! Join us for their magical after dark nuptials.
Frankfort Elopement | Patrick + Kate
A couple of Scots living in London, England decided to cross Kentucky off their travel bucket list and elope while doing so! On one of the rainiest days I’ve ever seen these two grabbed umbrellas, joined hands and officially tied the knot in Frankfort, Kentucky. We roamed around downtown, dried off at Buffalo Trace Distillery where they had a perfect impromptu toast from another distillery guest and ended with some special portraits in the barrel house. Join us for their fun and rainy elopement!
Intimate Lexington Wedding | A + P
Anthony + Priscila met in college many, many years ago. They finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and their closest friends at Dudley's on Short in downtown Lexington, Kentucky.
Just Because | Grant + Kara
Just because you've been married a few years but don't have kids doesn't mean you don't deserve some updated portraits together! Amiright? I spent an afternoon with Grant + Kara as they cracked each other up and loved on each other at Buffalo Trace Distillery. Just because everyone needs some pictures with the one they love. :)
Today's The Day | Ryles + Melanie
“TODAY’S THE DAY! Melanie and Ryles Tie the Knot! ” headed their custom wedding day newspaper as guests grabbed their late morning coffee and strolled by the grapevines to the gorgeous ceremony location at Talon Winery in Lexington, Kentucky. Join us for their sunny ceremony, brunch reception and freaking-unreal-beautiful golden hour portraits. <3
The Next Adventure Begins | Adam + Brianna
These two best friends got engaged at Gattitown- apparently exactly 630 tickets can get you a proposal from the prize stand ;) and then went to Italy. So basically a location is secondary to them having an amazing time together and their wedding absolutely reflected that! Enjoy their gorgeous, fun-filled summer wedding at the Ashley Inn in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
$2 on Griffith to Win | Alex + Megan
Alex and Megan are a classic tale of country boy meets city girl, except in Kentucky that doesn’t always make them so different! ;) Alex grew up playing football in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and Megan in the bustling metropolis of Lexington, learning how to bet on horses at the track before she could drive a car. They met a bar during finals week and went on their first date to W.T. Young Library on campus- but quickly learned they had many mutual friends, a love of adventure and the outdoors. This adventurous couple loves to travel, hunt, fish and enjoy their favorite Kentucky hotspots. Keeneland was an obvious venue choice for this Kentucky loving couple. Join us for their bright and charming summer wedding day!
