Paige + Jarren are in the final weeks before they add a little boy, Emmett, to their family! I joined them on Paige’s grandmother’s property in Bardstown, Kentucky to snap some maternity photos for them amongst the garden, barn and colorful spring blooms. Enjoy!

This sweet family has invited me to document them many times and this time it was to celebrate little E turning 6 months old. Our session turned more into bribery with M&ms, shoulder rides, tickle fights and kisses and that’s exactly the way it should be :) I adore this family and hope you enjoy their session at the Studio Lex!

Meet Helen! She’s the newest, but still not the smallest (thanks to Mowgli!), addition to the Wood family! She was so excited to join in the family fun that she came two weeks early and kept one eye open for most of our photo shoot to make sure she didn’t miss anything. :) They joined me at The Studio Lex to document their fresh family of five.

While on a family vacation to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky Addy, who’s 6, fell in love with the ornament display at the park and suggested that her Mom, Cathy, and her fiancé of 3 years, Nate, should getting married there. After years of procrastinating the planning of a big wedding they took Addy’s suggestion seriously and put a wedding together in just 6 DAYS! Cathy’s grandfather officiated the ceremony and their closest family members (and a collection of horse park visitors that evening) watched them step inside the ornament and have an impromptu ceremony inside the ornament! Alex + Cassie met while serving at P.F. Changs and found that would try to spend as much time around each other as they could. It took Cassie moving away from Lexington for Alex to make his move and ask Cassie out, which took her back to Lexington and the rest, as they say, is history! Over the years they’ve been together they’ve adopted a dog and appeared in several music videos as extras; and as themselves in Andy Grammar’s hit “Honey I’m Good”. I think you can see the reference to their wedding title there. :) They wed at the Round Barn Stable of Memories in Lexington, Kentucky in late November surrounded by laughter and love. I met Michael + Chelsea at a wedding several years ago and was so excited to see they finally got engaged and even more excited when Chelsea contacted me about taking some portraits together! These two are getting married on the beach in the Dominican Republic next month but with a winter wedding they wanted some snuggly couple portraits in Louisville together too. With flurries falling this fun pair danced and laughed their way through the chilly December afternoon. I loved so many photos from their session it was hard to narrow down my favorites- so I hope you enjoy! <3

Karrie + Xavier shared their crew of kiddos with me for another year as their youngest, Kieran, just turned ONE! We threw tinsle like snow, taught Kieran how to drink Fanta and they let me spin them around like superheroes. It was so fun to spend a morning with them at the family business Blue Stallion Brewing Company. I hope you enjoy this goofy sibling photoshoot.
