This adorable pair met at church in their hometown of Madisonville, Kentucky- which was the setting for their engagement session! We strolled through downtown, stopped by their church (which included their senior scout projects built next to each other years before they ever met) and ended the evening at sunset on the land where they’ll build their home together.

These two are effortlessly joyful and photographing them was the same. Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session and I can’t wait to celebrate with them next year! <3

Jessica was the type of girl who swore she’d never get married… until she met Mathew- obviously. :) As plans came together they decided on an intimate wedding on Earth Day, April 22nd, with sunrise ceremony plans in place… life dealt them a new card- a pandemic. They persevered with their original date and got married on the front lawn of Jessica’s mother’s house with an intimate affair but traded sunrise for sunset and spaced chairs for their family 6 feet apart. It was a day filled with joy that turned out absolutely perfect for them. I hope you enjoy seeing some favorites!

Joel, Emma and baby Viv currently call Taiwan home but while visiting family in the U.S. they squeezed in some time for family photos with me at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky! Even at a few months old Viv is already full of personality and kept us all laughing with her giggles and scowls and looks of judgement. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites! <3

This sweet family has invited me to document them many times and this time it was to celebrate little E turning 6 months old. Our session turned more into bribery with M&ms, shoulder rides, tickle fights and kisses and that’s exactly the way it should be :) I adore this family and hope you enjoy their session at the Studio Lex!

Alex + Cassie met while serving at P.F. Changs and found that would try to spend as much time around each other as they could. It took Cassie moving away from Lexington for Alex to make his move and ask Cassie out, which took her back to Lexington and the rest, as they say, is history! Over the years they’ve been together they’ve adopted a dog and appeared in several music videos as extras; and as themselves in Andy Grammar’s hit “Honey I’m Good”. I think you can see the reference to their wedding title there. :) They wed at the Round Barn Stable of Memories in Lexington, Kentucky in late November surrounded by laughter and love. Inspired by portraits of the royals, Rebekah and Larry wanted some minimalist family portraits including their little lady Campbell. With patience and lots of skittles- I think we got at least a few winners fit for the halls of a palace. Join us for their mini session at the Studio Lex!

Andrea + Benjamin chose me to photograph their wedding in 2014 and it was such a joy to see them again and to photograph this next chapter in their story! After trying for a few years they are finally expecting a baby girl in February and wanted some photos to document this sweet time. We spent a little time together in the forest at Jacobson Park and would love for you to join us in their joy!

You may remember their engagement photos from around this time last year :) They officially became Mr. ad Mrs. Dietz on the shores of Cancun, Mexico but decided for some portraits together in Kentucky too! Michael + Mallory married under a walnut tree at Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate surrounded by their closest friends and family on a humid September afternoon. They strolled through the beautiful Ashland gardens hand-in-hand before celebrating over brews and barbecue at Blue Stallion Brewing Company!
