I met Michael + Chelsea at a wedding several years ago and was so excited to see they finally got engaged and even more excited when Chelsea contacted me about taking some portraits together! These two are getting married on the beach in the Dominican Republic next month but with a winter wedding they wanted some snuggly couple portraits in Louisville together too. With flurries falling this fun pair danced and laughed their way through the chilly December afternoon. Molly + Stephen met in college over 7 years ago. Over that time they've traveled, adopted a dog and had many long chats about the future. Luckily that future includes each other because Stephen asked a question and Molly answered "yes"! :) They met me at sunrise in Bernheim Forest near Molly's hometown of Bardstown to document their love for each other and we had a truly beautiful morning romping through the scenery together. Rachel + Seth met through mutual friends but the love story begins with her hopping on the back his motorcycle and everything just clicked! They spent a lot of days driving country roads together so we let that inspire their engagement session in Lexington, Kentucky. We stopped at Eckert's Boyd Orchard, Pisgah Church and ended our mini country drive at Keeneland. An Irish boy and Colorado girl met in Kentucky the old fashioned way- through mutual friends at a bar! These two horse lovers went their separate ways for five years but eventually reconnected and the rest, as they say, is history! Eventing and horse training keep them traveling and apart quite a bit but when they’re together this pair keep each other smiling and laughing. Corey + Noël are high school sweethearts ready to take on the next adventures together in life! The first of those adventures is their 50lb fur baby named Jax and the next is marriage! :) We enjoyed a summer evening at Keeneland together and ended with a bike ride- but the surprise is that the bikes are special! Corey's grandparent's gave them the vintage bikes that they too rode and loved... but they needed quite a bit of work. After some new tires, tune up and shine they were ready for a new life on the road starting with this photo session! <3

John + Toni met almost a decade ago and have followed each other from New York to Kentucky for jobs and school- frequenting breweries inbetween. They love to spend time together in the Distillery District so we strolled around on a steamy summer evening clinking glasses of beer to all of life's excitements- like their upcoming wedding, trip to the Mediterranean and their Pomeranian pup!

We've all heard of high school sweethearts- but John + Mary Catherine go all the way back to middle school. These two have literally grown up together and after more than a decade as boyfriend and girlfriend they get to upgrade to Mr. + Mrs. around this time next year! Blair + Eric crossed paths at their work holiday party in 2013 and have been head over heels for each other ever since. Last April Eric flew to Lexington for less than 24 hours to surprise Blair during a girls trip to town and surprised her on UK's campus with a ring and question. She obviously said yes and in proposal fashion- Eric flew home to NYC for less than 24 hours so I could snap some photos of him and Blair loving on each other in Central Park for their engagement session.
