This sweet family has invited me to document them many times and this time it was to celebrate little E turning 6 months old. Our session turned more into bribery with M&ms, shoulder rides, tickle fights and kisses and that’s exactly the way it should be :) I adore this family and hope you enjoy their session at the Studio Lex!

Join us for an afternoon at the Eckert Boyd Orchard and making homemade lamb dumplings with the Ao family in Lexington, Kentucky. Not only is important to have beautiful images with your family but it’s also important to have documentation of family traditions- like making dumplings from scratch for dinner. The little things are big things and it’s certainly a day I felt so honored to be invited to. Enjoy!

Anyone who’s ever met the McCollums’ will tell you that this crew is filled to the brim with personality. Cooper is always quoting movies and picked up learning the guitar, Colleen is daydreaming about her future college in the Northeast and dad is always ready for a good day at Keeneland. Alex + Brooke have been watching their little man Graham grow for the last 6 months- he's still trying to sit up on his own but filling any space he's in with adorable smiles! Cousin Addie joined in for some photos too so these cuties have some portraits growing up together! <3 We spent an evening at Keeneland making funny noises to earn some smiles, chatting about our favorite ice cream and envisioning these cousins hopefully enjoying Keeneland together in the far, far future. :)

I’ve been photographing this little lady’s parents, Cody + Kayla, since they got engaged in 2012! It’s hard to believe miss Adelaide is already a year old! My favorite thing about photographing Joyce + Bryan and their spunky boys is that whenever I show a Joyce a photo on the back of the camera her reply is almost always, "awww, my boys!" regardless of who the photo is of. <3

It may sound weird to do family portraits in a brewery, but when dad is one of the owners it's pretty much like a second home! As the Donnelly's spend their last holiday season as a family of 5 we got together for some family portraits, some Saturday morning doodling and a little jumping on the couch at Blue Stallion Brewery in Lexington, Ky.
