An Irish boy and Colorado girl met in Kentucky the old fashioned way- through mutual friends at a bar! These two horse lovers went their separate ways for five years but eventually reconnected and the rest, as they say, is history! Eventing and horse training keep them traveling and apart quite a bit but when they’re together this pair keep each other smiling and laughing. You may remember their engagement photos from around this time last year :) They officially became Mr. ad Mrs. Dietz on the shores of Cancun, Mexico but decided for some portraits together in Kentucky too! I joined family at the University of Kentucky Arboretum for a mini session to document some portraits of them with baby Mia! We strolled through the gardens chatting about how they grew up two hours from each other in Mexico but met in the U.S. and tried our best to get three month old Mia to show us her beautiful smile. It was so wonderful to meet them and I hope everyone enjoys their sweet images! <3

Their portraits are especially exciting because Matt + Mary Ann were my very first wedding couple ever and chose me to document their family on their ten year wedding anniversary!
