These two best friends got engaged at Gattitown- apparently exactly 630 tickets can get you a proposal from the prize stand ;) and then went to Italy. So basically a location is secondary to them having an amazing time together and their wedding absolutely reflected that! There are few accessories that spruce up a southern gentleman more than a bow tie. But who says that they have to be exclusively for the guys? Alex and I spent a gorgeous spring morning at Keeneland to show how a bow tie can spruce up a fancy outfit for a day at the races or special event as a fun accessory! Wear it like a tie or open/folded to reference a scarf or ascot.

Cody and Kayla welcomed home baby A a few weeks ago! They found they were having her while traveling Germany last year and already have big plans for her. Mostly that she will love UK, Land Rovers and wearing Kayla's baby shoes from the 80's. :) It was so wonderful to catch up with them and document a day at home for this new family of three. <3

Alex and Megan are a classic tale of country boy meets city girl, except in Kentucky that doesn’t always make them so different! ;) Alex grew up playing football in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and Megan in the bustling metropolis of Lexington, learning how to bet on horses at the track before she could drive a car. They met a bar during finals week and went on their first date to W.T. Young Library on campus- but quickly learned they had many mutual friends, a love of adventure and the outdoors. This adventurous couple loves to travel, hunt, fish and enjoy their favorite Kentucky hotspots. Keeneland was an obvious venue choice for this Kentucky loving couple. The hills of Shakertown as our backdrop M+M twirled (probably a few too many times, but I just love a twirling dress AND they took dance lessons) in the setting sun, popped champagne together for a small romantic picnic under the trees and took a stroll as the sunset sky and full moon looked down upon them. It was truly such a lovely day.

Austin and Alyson spent a warm Monday evening hand-in-hand strolling Lexington and stopping in beautiful pockets of sunlight. They bumped hips, kissed cheeks, laughed and caught a lady bug. Check out their session here!

In the blink of an eye little Harper has been here for half a year! Leaving her fur-brother Bentley at home, Megan and Hunter joined me at Waveland Historic Home in Lexington, Kentucky on a windy Sunday evening to document Harper’s smiley and growing personality at six months old.
