This sweet family has invited me to document them many times and this time it was to celebrate little E turning 6 months old. Our session turned more into bribery with M&ms, shoulder rides, tickle fights and kisses and that’s exactly the way it should be :) I adore this family and hope you enjoy their session at the Studio Lex!

Meet Helen! She’s the newest, but still not the smallest (thanks to Mowgli!), addition to the Wood family! She was so excited to join in the family fun that she came two weeks early and kept one eye open for most of our photo shoot to make sure she didn’t miss anything. :) They joined me at The Studio Lex to document their fresh family of five.

While on a family vacation to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky Addy, who’s 6, fell in love with the ornament display at the park and suggested that her Mom, Cathy, and her fiancé of 3 years, Nate, should getting married there. After years of procrastinating the planning of a big wedding they took Addy’s suggestion seriously and put a wedding together in just 6 DAYS! Cathy’s grandfather officiated the ceremony and their closest family members (and a collection of horse park visitors that evening) watched them step inside the ornament and have an impromptu ceremony inside the ornament! Alex + Cassie met while serving at P.F. Changs and found that would try to spend as much time around each other as they could. It took Cassie moving away from Lexington for Alex to make his move and ask Cassie out, which took her back to Lexington and the rest, as they say, is history! Over the years they’ve been together they’ve adopted a dog and appeared in several music videos as extras; and as themselves in Andy Grammar’s hit “Honey I’m Good”. I think you can see the reference to their wedding title there. :) They wed at the Round Barn Stable of Memories in Lexington, Kentucky in late November surrounded by laughter and love. Karrie + Xavier shared their crew of kiddos with me for another year as their youngest, Kieran, just turned ONE! We threw tinsle like snow, taught Kieran how to drink Fanta and they let me spin them around like superheroes. It was so fun to spend a morning with them at the family business Blue Stallion Brewing Company. I hope you enjoy this goofy sibling photoshoot.

Inspired by portraits of the royals, Rebekah and Larry wanted some minimalist family portraits including their little lady Campbell. With patience and lots of skittles- I think we got at least a few winners fit for the halls of a palace. Join us for their mini session at the Studio Lex!

Chris and Sarah started out as long distance friends from an internet game they played together but as life brought them geographically closer together their friendship blossomed closer too. Their love story continued to span thousands of miles as jobs, school and visiting family called for lots of time on the road both together and apart. Their hearts remained close regardless of the distance and lead them here- to their wedding day! They wed under cool Saturday with overcast skies on October 13th. Andrea + Benjamin chose me to photograph their wedding in 2014 and it was such a joy to see them again and to photograph this next chapter in their story! After trying for a few years they are finally expecting a baby girl in February and wanted some photos to document this sweet time. We spent a little time together in the forest at Jacobson Park and would love for you to join us in their joy!

Meet Raegan! This sweet and fierce high school senior is an incredible volleyball player and is off to Rhodes College next year. We spent an afternoon in downtown Lexington showing off her personality and it was such a blast! Join us to see the magic we created together.
