Justin + Jessica met through mutual friends while attending Transylvania University. After Justin graduated they made things official and have been enjoying of concerts, drinking bourbon, stand up comedy shows and their dog, Kobe, since 2012. For their engagement session we visited many places in Lexington they love- including Transy where they met, The Burl where they love to see shows, The Lexington Distillery District and a favorite bar of theirs, The Village Idiot, and ended the evening with some after dark photos in downtown Lexington. These high school sweethearts dreamed of their wedding day together since the first days of their relationship and were so excited when the day finally arrived! :) A+A love UK but will be cheering on the Cats from their new home in Alabama this year as Austin continues his veterinary education and Alyson teaches first grade! It was an absolute honor to be part of their wedding day and celebrate with your nearest + dearest. 

Brooke + Jeremy recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary but year number two will look a bit different with the addition of a baby girl! :) We spent an evening out on the farm in Bardstown, Kentucky to document this sweet time before little Avery arrives!

John + Toni met almost a decade ago and have followed each other from New York to Kentucky for jobs and school- frequenting breweries inbetween. They love to spend time together in the Distillery District so we strolled around on a steamy summer evening clinking glasses of beer to all of life's excitements- like their upcoming wedding, trip to the Mediterranean and their Pomeranian pup!

We've all heard of high school sweethearts- but John + Mary Catherine go all the way back to middle school. These two have literally grown up together and after more than a decade as boyfriend and girlfriend they get to upgrade to Mr. + Mrs. around this time next year! My favorite thing about photographing Joyce + Bryan and their spunky boys is that whenever I show a Joyce a photo on the back of the camera her reply is almost always, "awww, my boys!" regardless of who the photo is of. <3

I've known this couple for quite some time. Gus, as one of my high school best friend's (Katy) younger brothers, and Amanda as one Katy's best friends from college. Somewhere along through the family gatherings and visits home to the Detoma’s- the glances and jokes exchanged between Gus + Amanda turned in to something more. Guy + Kate got an extra surprise when Little Ryan arrived because they waited to find out the gender! So excited with a little girl, they gave her a name that was significant to both mom and dad. Ryan's fur brother, Rizzo, doesn't seem to find that she has mom and dad wrapped around her little finger already as they all settle in at home together as a family of four! Can't wait to see how she grows and changes and it was a such a joy to document this family together during their first few weeks at home in Lexington, Ky.
