This sweet family has invited me to document them many times and this time it was to celebrate little E turning 6 months old. Our session turned more into bribery with M&ms, shoulder rides, tickle fights and kisses and that’s exactly the way it should be :) I adore this family and hope you enjoy their session at the Studio Lex!

This future palentologist just turned SIX! Brayden loves dinosaurs (his mom and I joked that he's totally channeling young Ross Gellar from Friends <3) and is a ball of energy! We spent a half hour at The Studio Cottage in Lexington, Kentucky driving upside down cars, jumping around in pillows and reading dinosaur books. After our session I got a text from his mom that said, "Brayden wants me to share that he wants you to babysit him because you are so fun. That's the highest honor from him!". I'm pretty sure that's the best review I've ever gotten <3

These high school sweethearts dreamed of their wedding day together since the first days of their relationship and were so excited when the day finally arrived! :) A+A love UK but will be cheering on the Cats from their new home in Alabama this year as Austin continues his veterinary education and Alyson teaches first grade! It was an absolute honor to be part of their wedding day and celebrate with your nearest + dearest. 

Autumn + Joey welcomed baby Georgiana in June and she has completely stolen their hearts. It's always an honor to document a family at the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and spend quiet moments with them at home. These little details are fleeting treasures; the way Georgi lays and positions her legs because she was born breech, how Autumn strokes her arm and kisses her feet during feeding and the way Joey's facial hair makes her face crunch. Brooke + Jeremy recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary but year number two will look a bit different with the addition of a baby girl! :) We spent an evening out on the farm in Bardstown, Kentucky to document this sweet time before little Avery arrives!

I’ve been photographing this little lady’s parents, Cody + Kayla, since they got engaged in 2012! It’s hard to believe miss Adelaide is already a year old! We've all heard of high school sweethearts- but John + Mary Catherine go all the way back to middle school. These two have literally grown up together and after more than a decade as boyfriend and girlfriend they get to upgrade to Mr. + Mrs. around this time next year! My favorite thing about photographing Joyce + Bryan and their spunky boys is that whenever I show a Joyce a photo on the back of the camera her reply is almost always, "awww, my boys!" regardless of who the photo is of. <3

I've known this couple for quite some time. Gus, as one of my high school best friend's (Katy) younger brothers, and Amanda as one Katy's best friends from college. Somewhere along through the family gatherings and visits home to the Detoma’s- the glances and jokes exchanged between Gus + Amanda turned in to something more.
