The Reynolds Family recently moved in to a beautiful home in Ashland, Kentucky and their little ladies are turning 1 and 3 so there was a lot to celebrate during our recent photoshoot together. We enjoyed a warm evening in their backyard, had a tea party, painted with Dad and ended the evening with a flower milk bath to get some extra special portraits of the girls. Belle also bribed me into having chocolate ice cream with them before I headed home so I obviously had to make good on that deal :). Enjoy some of my favorites from their portrait session below! <3

Autumn + Joey welcomed baby Georgiana in June and she has completely stolen their hearts. It's always an honor to document a family at the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and spend quiet moments with them at home. These little details are fleeting treasures; the way Georgi lays and positions her legs because she was born breech, how Autumn strokes her arm and kisses her feet during feeding and the way Joey's facial hair makes her face crunch. Her first trip around the sun is coming up soon and to document the occasion her parents brought her to The Studio Lex for me to capture this fun and giggly time in her life. :) Enjoy this smiley babe and adorable personality.

Joyce + Bryan welcomed a new baby (hello Watson!) into the world less than two weeks ago! I originally went over to do his newborn photos, but when big brother is 3 1/2 and there’s lots of down time for feedings, I was able to get quite a few photos of Atticus too! so a brothers post it shall be! :) I hope you love that chaos and fun of a shoot with two little boys now instead of one!

Little Eileen is the newest addition to the Crane household. Megan and Evan welcomed me into their home to photograph their new little lady at 12 days new.

Cody and Kayla welcomed home baby A a few weeks ago! They found they were having her while traveling Germany last year and already have big plans for her. Mostly that she will love UK, Land Rovers and wearing Kayla's baby shoes from the 80's. :) It was so wonderful to catch up with them and document a day at home for this new family of three. <3

Documenting families is one of my favorite things, especially when I’ve been doing so since Matt and Dawn’s wedding day. We spent a warm April evening playing on the backyard rope swing, blowing bubble and swinging at the park. Max and Evie are at such fun ages and I hope these photos freeze this pocket of time for them <3 Enjoy!

On Sunday mornings, these four pile into the kitchen to make homemade pancakes from scratch, now known as “Scratchy pancakes” to the girls. Lara cooks them up in a cast iron skillet, while M&M get stuck in the couch cushions and keep busy in the play room and Bill drinks coffee from his Girls Rule superhero coffee mug. It’s a perfect day filled with all the little things that make a house a home. On their last Sunday in Lexington, I joined them for a session to document some of those little moments that rarely get documented.
