Back Roads Roadtrip | Ryles + Melanie

Ryles and Melanie met as students at the University of Kentucky but their education goals and careers in music took them separate ways geographically- from Georgia and North Carolina to Chicago and in between. The two have made long distance romance work for most of their six year relationship by talking every day and even picking up odd jobs to find the resources to see each other on as many free weekends possible.

Originally hailing from the Lexington area, Kentucky is where they find common ground and look forward to getting married here next summer (which may or may not involved brunch and coffee) :) So they decided it was the best place to capture this part of their lives together!

These two were down to let me literally take the wheel and drive them all over Fayette and Bourbon counties for their engagement session. We hopped some fences, played in the road, made art in an abandoned barn and crawled through tall grass at a new Lexington park together. It was so much fun to road trip with them and put my hobby of driving back roads to good use!
